Frequently Asked Questions

Every Brooklyn Pet Club caregiver is carefully vetted and intentionally chosen. All sitters pass a background check and have extensive hands-on experience with dogs and/or cats. We select for calm, nurturing temperaments, strong judgment, and genuine love for animals - because safety and emotional steadiness matter.

You’re welcome to create an account through the “Become a Client” button on our homepage and schedule a meet and greet directly. A Meet & Greet is a brief visit where we meet you and your pet, review care routines, and ensure everyone feels comfortable. It is required before a first house-sitting booking and strongly recommended for dog walking or drop-in services. For last-minute requests, we may arrange a phone or FaceTime call instead.
A $35 non-refundable deposit is required and will be applied to your first booking if you move forward. Please note that this visit does not include a solo walk or drop-in service - it is an opportunity to meet your pet while you are present.
-
We recommend having a copy of your keys ready at the meet and greet so we can collect them at that time. Many clients choose to have us securely retain a copy for future visits. We do not offer additional complimentary trips for key pickup or a second meet and greet after services begin.
Alternative options include providing access via a lockbox, arranging key delivery through an Uber courier, coordinating a direct drop-off, or scheduling a paid drop-in visit specifically for key collection.
Getting Started
-
For dog walks and drop-in visits, you’ll receive notifications when the visit begins and ends. Dog walks include a GPS-tracked route, along with updates on bathroom breaks, food and water, and photos from the visit.
For house sitting, daily updates are provided once a day with a summary of how your pet is doing, any notable details, and photos.
-
For daytime walks, we typically operate within set service windows (11am–4pm and 2pm–6pm) as we build efficient neighborhood routes. If you require a more specific timeframe, we’re happy to discuss availability - just let us know your needs and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
-
We’re not always able to take last minute bookings, but we will try our best. Please reach out to schedule a meet and greet or introductory call.
